Winning New England Music Awards’ 'Pop Act of the Year’ in 2021,  Liz Bills and the Change will release their highly anticipated debut full-length album August 13, 2021.  Serving up a one-of-a-kind mix of blue-eyed soul, rock, funk, and pop, the band teamed with award winning producer Sean McLaughin of 37ft Productions to create an album capturing the energy of their entrancing live performances.

 

Liz Bills is no stranger to the Boston music scene- in the past three years alone she’s taken home New England Music Awards for Roots Act of the Year and Rock Act of the Year, and received a Boston Music Award nomination for Singer-Songwriter of the Year.  She’s opened stages for Bon Jovi and Daughtry, placed as a top 30 finisher on American Idol in 2013, and the forthcoming album explores new sides of the powerhouse vocalist.  Starting as a collection of acoustic songs written in her bedroom, the addition of her six-piece eclectic roots band ‘The Change’ evolved this record into a unique blend of hard hitting guitars, groovy bass lines, and rich harmonies that support the passionate, vulnerable lead vocals of Bills. The end result is a genre-bending, contagiously danceable, feel good record exploring Liz’s intimate side as well as her fiery funk-rock prowess.
